Life in JERU

This is Shaban and Rita. They are two of my favorite people here. They own several shops in the Old City, and they absolutely love the BYU students! Their shops are decorated with BYU stuff, and they sell byu tshirts, scripture cases, etc. Everytime we go, they go and get us cold drinks and fresh pita and hummus! Rita told me that if I want, I can move back next summer and work at his shop and get $1500 dollars a month! When I asked him where I would live, he was like, "With me and my family of course!" So if I don't find a job next summer, I know that I have one waiting here!
We met these two little boys in Luxor. Their names are Mohammad and Mustafa. It was so funny because Mustafa came up to barefoot and asked us for money to buy shoes, because he didn't have any. Trish and I felt way bad, so we each gave him a dollar. A few minutes he came back over and he was wearing shoes! At first, we were a little bit mad, but then we just thought it was hilarious. We started playing with them, and then tons of little boys came and were playing with us! It was so much fun!
